Booking
What is Watkins Shared Adventures?
Watkins Shared Adventures organizes group trips in partnership with Diamond Tours, a professional motorcoach tour operator. Diamond Tours handles transportation, hotels, and attractions, while WSA coordinates the group and travels along with you.
How can I book a trip?
You can book by clicking the Book Now button on any trip detail page. If you need help, you can also contact us by phone, text, email, or through the Contact Us page. A $75 per person deposit secures your reservation once booking information is submitted to Diamond Tours.
Can I travel alone?
Yes. Single rooms are available for all trips, and many travelers join us on their own. Solo travelers are warmly welcomed.
Can you help me find a roommate?
Roommate matching is not available. To receive double-occupancy pricing, trips must be booked as a pair. If one traveler cancels, the remaining traveler is responsible for the single-occupancy rate, finding a replacement traveler, or canceling as well.
Is there an age limit?
Some trips include casino or winery stops, so all travelers must be 21 years of age or older.
How large are the groups?
Most trips operate with approximately 40 to 50 travelers.
How do I get more details about a specific trip?
Contact us anytime and we will be happy to share available details, confirm seat availability, and help you decide if a trip is a good fit.
Payments & Insurance
When is final payment due?
Final payment is typically due about 60 days prior to departure.
What payment methods do you accept?
Personal checks are preferred and should be payable to Diamond Tours. Payments may be mailed to Watkins Shared Adventures, 215 N 4th Street, Cannelton, IN 47520. Electronic payments may also be arranged on request. The purchaser is responsible for any processing or service fees, and payment processing fees are non-refundable.
What is your cancellation policy?
Diamond Tours trips follow Diamond Tours' cancellation policy. If cancellation is submitted at least two weeks before departure, a full refund is typically issued and processed within 7 to 10 business days. Day trips are different: full payment is due at sign up and day trips are non-refundable.
Is travel insurance available?
Yes. Diamond Tours offers travel insurance through Travel Confident. Insurance can be purchased directly from their website using the tour ID listed in the trip details.
After Booking
When will I receive trip details?
Final itineraries are usually available about 30 days before departure. At that time you will receive itinerary details, luggage tags, and any meal selection requests.
Where do trips depart from?
The primary pickup location is the Tell City Walmart, 730 U.S. Hwy 66, Tell City, IN 47586. Additional pickup locations are limited and not guaranteed. Any alternate pickup must be along the trip route. Contact us to discuss possible options.
Will someone travel with the group?
Yes. Christopher and/or Jesse travel with the group to help coordinate the trip and assist travelers along the way.
How much luggage can I bring?
Depending on the length of the trip, travelers may bring one or two pieces of luggage stored beneath the motorcoach. A small amount of overhead storage is available for personal items such as purses or small backpacks.
What if the trip has an overnight stop on the way?
For trips with an en route overnight stop, travelers may designate one suitcase as an en route bag for that stop while the remaining luggage stays secured on the motorcoach.
What meals are included?
Breakfast is provided by the hotel each morning during your stay. Some evening meals are also included depending on the trip itinerary.
Can you accommodate mobility needs?
Some trips are better suited than others for travelers with mobility concerns. Mobility devices can often be accommodated, but staff cannot provide significant physical assistance due to liability limits. We are always happy to discuss mobility expectations so you can determine if a trip is a good fit.
What are the motorcoaches like?
Diamond Tours uses modern touring motorcoaches equipped with restrooms and comfortable seating for long-distance travel.
Do I need a passport?
Trips that cross international borders require a valid passport or passport card. Travelers are responsible for ensuring they have proper travel documentation.
