Overview
This policy applies to ShiftWork Reminders (the “App”), provided by Watkins Shared Adventures, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). The App is designed to perform its schedule and routine work on your device. We do not operate a ShiftWork user-account database and do not upload your calendar events, routines, or completion history to our servers.
Information handled on your device
Calendar information
If you grant Calendar permission, you choose one or more calendars already configured on your device. The App reads event identifiers, titles, start and end times, status, and calendar identifiers for the date range needed to find events matching the work keyword you choose. The App uses this information to calculate shift-relative routines and reminders. It does not create, edit, or delete calendar events.
Routine, progress, and settings
Your work keyword, routine items, timing rules, completion history, notification preferences, selected calendar identifiers, and related settings are stored locally on your device. Calendar-derived schedule information is cached locally so the App can display the last successful schedule. Completion history is retained locally for up to one year to provide progress and streak features.
Notifications, widgets, and Apple Watch
Reminder notifications are scheduled locally. The App may share a limited routine snapshot with its widgets or companion Apple Watch experience through Apple-provided on-device and device-to-device mechanisms. These features do not send your calendar events to our servers.
Purchases
ShiftWork Plus offers subscriptions and one-time purchase options. Apple processes payment and purchase-account information. The App receives product, transaction, entitlement, expiration, and revocation information needed to provide and restore purchased features. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Support requests
If you contact support, we receive the name, email address, topic, message, and any technical information you choose to provide. Please do not include calendar-event details or sensitive account information.
How information is used
- Find matching work events on the calendars you select;
- Calculate and display routine timing around shifts;
- Schedule local reminders and update widgets or companion-device views;
- Show progress, consistency, and streak information;
- Validate and restore ShiftWork Plus access; and
- Respond to support requests.
We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or use it to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Sharing and service providers
The App communicates with Apple as needed for Calendar access, notifications, widgets, Apple Watch connectivity, and App Store purchases. Support requests are processed through Netlify and Resend for delivery to us. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices. We may disclose support information if required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
Retention and deletion
Calendar-derived information, routines, settings, progress, and cached purchase status remain locally on your device until replaced, cleared, or removed by uninstalling the App. Disconnecting calendars removes the App’s cached calendar schedule. You can revoke Calendar and notification permissions in device settings. Purchase history remains governed by Apple’s records and retention practices.
Support messages are retained as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain business records. You may request deletion of a support conversation by contacting us, subject to records we must retain for legal, security, or business purposes.
Your choices
- Use the App without granting Calendar access;
- Select or disconnect calendars in the App;
- Change or remove routines and progress stored on your device;
- Disable notifications in the App or device settings;
- Manage subscriptions and purchases through your App Store account; and
- Uninstall the App to remove its locally stored data.
Security
The App limits calendar access to device APIs and stores its working data in the App’s local storage. Information handled by Apple is protected by Apple’s platform controls. No storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children’s privacy
The App is intended for working-age users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App changes. The date above will be revised when changes are published.
